Error - Remote host said: 554 5.3.0 rewrite: map site3_u not found Giving up on …

A client started receiving bounce messages to a single address on a domain.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at host.domain.com.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.

<user@domain.com>:
x.x.x.x does not like recipient.

x.x.x.x.

This happened to be an Ensim powered server. I figured one of the domains (site3 in this case) was stuck in a somewhat munged state. The best way on Ensim to reset the state of all sites is maintenance mode:

/usr/local/sbin/set_maintenance
/usr/local/sbin/set_pre_maintenance
/usr/local/sbin/set_post_maintenance
/etc/init.d/webppliance restart

As the webppliance restarts, it will go through each domain and do an audit and try to repair anything it can. Watch the output. If there is a problem with a domain the following command will force an edit and resave of the domain configuration.

EditVirtDomain -f site#

Replace # with the munged site number.

After EditVirtDomain finishes, try going through maintenance mode again to see if the errors have cleared. If not, get help.
